Astrology Transits for June 2025

It's time to look at the sky for the coming month of June.

This Month we have the New Moon in Rohini symbolising fertility and growth. It's time to plant seeds and set things in motion that we want to grow, particularly on the waxing Moon up until the 11th June.

This month sees a number of very positive transits and in general a feeling of release and progress as several slower planets are more established in their new signs.

The biggest highlight at the moment is definitely the lunar nodes and their entrance to the Leo-Aquarius axis and what that involves for everyone. It is a long transit of 18 months but now we are settling in and starting to feel those effects. The biggest challenge here is Ketu in Leo. Ketu here can make us hide away and lose inspiration to share our gifts and express ourselves. The King is suddenly questioning his skillset and capacity and the kingdom is becoming restless, wondering if the King is able to lead them effectively any more. As a counterpoint, Rahu is stirring the revolutionary thoughts in Aquarius, amplifying discontent and bringing into question everything that we think is important in life. This transit likely brings very different perspectives which compel us to change how we see ourselves and how we are seen by others. Changing life direction, pursuing different skills and vocations amidst a feeling of stuckness and boredom with the way things have been is very possible with this transit. It's also likely to build over time as the nodes get stronger and stronger. These influences will have inflexion points during the next 3 eclipses with each eclipse increasing the strength of the shifts. There is one in late August 2025, then February 2026 and the third one in August 2026.

Jupiter and Rahu are entering a dialog in trines so we must also consider the impact of that. When these two planets come together it's usually a time where the established ways are questioned and some alternative or radical approach is being called for. This is amplified in the coming days with Mercury's transit but will continue to be felt for the next 6 months as Jupiter moves through Gemini and Rahu moves through Aquarius.

Friday, June 6th

Main Event: Mercury enters Gemini

Mercury returns home to the sign of Gemini enhancing communication, ideas, connections and social themes. Mercury here is great for startups and launches as your message is likely more easily received by others. This is a quick transit with Mercury going to Cancer on the 22nd June. For the first 5 days Mercury is conjunct Jupiter which can create tension between established ways of doing things and new ways coming to usurp them. It is happening in a square to Saturn adding to the angst and tension. The transit is more favourable from 12th June onwards once Mercury is past Jupiter.

Saturday, June 7th

Main Event: Mars enters Leo, Fasting on 11th day of increasing Moon

After many months, the wait is over and Mars finally reaches Leo and leaves Cancer behind. Now in Leo, Mars is much happier and much stronger giving us all the welcome drive and determination to pursue what we are doing for the rest of the year. This is very welcome for anyone with Aries/Scorpio positions in the chart, especially Ascendent and Moon.

Wednesday, June 11th

Main Event: Full Moon in Jyestha constellation

Jyestha's energy is the natural antithesis to Rohini, the New Moon constellation. Jyestha comes to critique our grand plans for growth, to give a counterpoint and a questioning analysis as to whether such seeds were best planted or not. It will be good to be aware over the coming fortnight where the inner and outer critic get too loud and disturb rather than provide the constructive criticism that is helpful.

Sunday, June 15th

Main Event: Sun enters Gemini

Sun leaves behind Taurus and the practical, grounded energies for a more ambitious and networked theme in Gemini. It's time for life purpose to meet with other's life purpose and for collaborations to be sought. As the natural third sign, Gemini encourages growth and extension and getting out of our comfort zone. The three phases of Gemini are searching, clearing and transformation. So we can watch the Sun’s transit over the next 4 weeks and within the theme of extension and collaboration, 1 week of seeking out those connections, 2 weeks of clearing the way of any blocks or challenges or past issues unresolved, then 1 week of transformation and exploring the potential of those connections.

Wednesday, June 18th

Main Event: Moon conjunct Rahu

The Moon is strongly aspected by the malefic planets for the next 2-3 days so it's important to be aware of negativity creeping in to the mind and emotions.

Sunday, June 22nd

Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of the decreasing Moon

Monday, June 23rd

Main Event: Mercury enters Cancer

Mercury is not as strong in Cancer, where he has mixed energies. This can bring a conflict between head and heart, the intellect and the feelings. It's important not to rush into things if it doesn't feel right while Mercury moves through this part of the sky.

Wednesday, June 25th

Main Event: New Moon in Ardra constellation, Sun/Jupiter conjunction

Ardra is a very powerful energy and the next month will be infused with Ardra's themes of deletion, removal, endings with storms and tears in the process. If something needs to end, then likely Ardra brings up the circumstances for that as it is linked to Rudra, the form of Shiva who is dancing to destroy the universe in the universes own perpetual birth and death cycle. Heightened emotions, things being taken away, turbulence and uneasiness are all possible in this month.

The New Moon coincides with the exact conjunction of Sun and Jupiter which is a very powerful moment once per year. The King and the Guru of the kingdom are meeting and this often brings profound clarity and wisdom to the running of our lives. On a New Moon these energies will run through the month so it's an excellent time for pause and tuning into guides and teachers.

Generally Sun conjunctions are called combustion but really it is eclipsing of the planet which cannot be seen in the Sun's light. So a few days before and after it can feel like our guides have abandoned us. But on exact conjunction there is a powerful opening like a portal. Then once Sun is a few days past, Jupiter is again visible to us and this combination of the two will be present for the following weeks up until the next New Moon.

Sunday, June 29th

Main Event: Venus enters Taurus

After moving with purpose through Aries, now Venus reaches his home of comfort, Taurus. Now is the perfect time to seek out what can make life more comfortable, how money and assets can come to us more easily, how resources can be more available. Venus is keen to make life as easy as possible and through connections and win-win arrangements this becomes possible. It's certainly not time to struggle too hard on your own!
