When I started out my journey of learning Vedic Astrology from my mentor, I jumped straight in to many esoteric topics and it all felt a bit too much.Like trying to swallow an encyclopedia... One day I asked him to explain the constellations. He replied, "Oh you haven't learned them?"He took out a piece of paper from his bag and scribbled a matrix of Sanskrit names and their degrees and rulership. We were sitting in a cafe at the time and it was a lot to take in. But my journey into the Naksatras had begun...If felt like no matter the time or place, this knowledge was essential, be it scribbled on a napkin in a cafe, or printed in a gold embossed book.He had studied in Rishikesh on the banks of the Ganga, walking with his teacher. Everything taught only once, no books at hand, everything expected to be memorised. My initiation had begun. So what are we specifically going to cover?Here are all the modules that we will do:1. Introduction to the Sun and Moon, the Sun's movement, rulership and influence. Male and Female polarities embodied in the Sun and the Moon. Introduction to the days of the Moon.2. Deeper investigation of the days of the Moon and all that they influence.3. Introduction to the other visible planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, their nature and influence. How to activate and work with them.4-6. Three modules covering the 27 constellations of the Moon, a pivotal area of Vedic Astrology. 9 constellations covered in each module. During this part we will begin to tune into the energies of all the constellations, beginning with the first one and tuning in daily for 27 days. This is the best way to get a feel for how these energies are affecting everything.7. How the constellations, lunar days and solar days interact with each other to give the cosmic influences at any given time.8. The invisible planets, the nodes of the Moon – North node Rahu and South node Ketu, their influence and nature.9. Rituals and remedial practices to harmonise and balance the cosmic influences. 

This is an introductory course covering the essentials of Vedic Astrology. Designed for beginners or those with some existing knowledge, each key part is explained in detail with examples and practical applications.We begin by focussing upon the most important planet in the sky, the Moon. The Moon governs our feelings, emotions and essence, where we run our life from. We can easily run on willpower or thoughts for a short time, but eventually we will decide life's big decisions based upon how we feel. So knowing more about the Moon, its influence, how feeling works for us individually and collectively is at the core of this practice.This course will be especially beneficial if you would like to understand your own chart on a deeper level as everything we cover you can reference back to your own chart so that the knowledge goes in on a deeper level.The course is 9 modules of 2 hours each which will be live broadcast on a weekly basis on Saturdays. We will conduct the classes on Zoom. Classes are recorded in case you cannot attend at the time. The course includes quizzes and activities as we go through the material and a final exam with certificate upon completion.
