This month, the sky starts to ease and the planets find space to move more freely. There has been a lot of conjunctions which have brought tension on many levels recently. Things will feel more open and flowing after the New Moon which arrives in the middle of the month.

Monday, May 11th 

Main Event: Sun enters Kritika constellation, Mars enters Aries, Moon/Rahu conjunction

The Sun comes to place of special strength entering his own constellation Kritika at the end of Aries. For the next 2 weeks, the energy of the Sun to act, to instigate, to catalyse is very strong. This is an excellent 2 weeks to launch endeavours and begin good activities. Kritika is considered in some contexts to the first of the 27 constellations, and it relates to the fire god Agni who is essential for the performance of sacrifice.

And at this time, on the same day, Mars enters Aries - another powerful indicator of new beginnings with the lord of the natural first sign, entering that sign. Mars will be in Aries for 6 weeks bringing action and determination to new beginnings. If you have been waiting on something... now is the time to act.

Although you might want to wait a couple of days until after the New Moon. Especially seeing that the Moon is with Rahu today, which can create confusion and delusion. The Moon has to cross 3 malefics before New Moon arrives on the 17th, so stepping forward after the New Moon makes sense.

Venus enhances social networking and an ease of working with others as he moves through Gemini. He meets Jupiter here as the two gurus meet together to discuss how each of their journeys are faring. This combination can bring enhanced wisdom and perspective, especially in discussion forums (Gemini).

Friday, May 15th 

Main Event: Sun enters Taurus, Mercury enters Taurus, Moon/Mars conjunction

This day is a real turning point in relation to the astrology of the last few months since the eclipses landed in February. The planets are now starting to feel some space from each other, especially Sun and Venus are now in different signs and Mars and Mercury are also now separated. Mars and Saturn have also parted ways as well. This helps a lot with tensions and Venus and Jupiter combining will help to smooth out a lot of anything left after these turbulent weeks.

Mercury in Taurus brings an exchange of signs for Mercury and Venus which is very positive and helpful. Social connections meeting inherent needs are indicated here.

This is a powerful New Moon for action and beginnings. Kritika is a blade that cuts and transforms. This month is ideal for breakthroughs and transformations, commitment to new habits, new beliefs and new directions. If something has been lingering and hanging around, this is likely the month that there are breakthroughs.

Saturn enters Revati creating a profound subtly shift of effect in the lunar energies of everyone. Saturn here amplifies the energy of serving and helping others. Saturn has had the effect of giving an overview or bigger picture over the previous months. And now in Revati the invitation comes to do something about it.
