Astrology Transits for March 2026

Sometimes life asks for a pause. To take a breath and feel into what is happening.

The next few days are a great moment to do that.

As everyone digests war narratives, price spikes, uncertainty around conflict and tensions, the option is there to pause, consider and take perspective.

The first thing to think about right now is the planet Mars.

Mars is the planet of war. He expresses aggression and the willingness to fight for a cause or purpose. He represents the determination in humanity and the willingness to act.

Whenever Mars comes close to Saturn, conflict tends to come with it.

This time around, Mars is also conjunct the Sun, another fire planet that amplifies Mars' fiery nature to fight.

And Rahu is also present, giving delusion, false narratives around the cause, and extremism.

All within a few days of the eclipses.

So if ever there was a time not to act, this is it.

The current agitation is concerning, but Jupiter is aspecting strongly helping to keep things in check and likely prevents things from developing into a World War 3 scenario (more on that later).

The next dates of interest for Mars are his conjunction with Saturn in Pisces, which is coming in early April.

That will likely bring another inflexion point which probably lasts until Mars gets to the end of Pisces at the beginning of May.

Eclipse seasons are generally a 10 week period at least, with the effects lasting 4 weeks and more after the second eclipse. So that takes us into April after which Mars' transit takes us further to May.

And mid-May begins the grand transformation of Saturn energies for the next 3 years as Saturn is agitated through his least favourite sign Aries.

It's good to remember the eclipse themes as these cycles follow through - Mercury is urging us to try a new way of doing things and Moon/Saturn are working together to bring balance to our exchanges with others.

So let's look at the transit events coming in March and what they bring...

Sunday, March 8th

Main Event: Venus/Saturn conjunction, Mercury retrograde conjunct Sun

Venus has reached his happiest place Pisces and joins his friend Saturn here. This will help soften the challenges of rebalancing life's exchanges with others. Venus' happiness is a bit overshadowed by the other forces at present, but is a welcome wave of lightness in the current transits.

Wednesday, March 11th

Main Event: Jupiter turns direct (end of retrograde motion)

Throughout March Jupiter is effectively standing still from our viewpoint as finishes retrograde motion and starts to move forwards. This also reflects the pausing nature of March with positive anticipation as we look to May and then June when Jupiter reaches Cancer, his happiest place. He'll be there for a whole year bringing a lot of positives.

Saturday, March 14th

Main Event: Mars/Rahu conjunction, Fasting for 11th day of decreasing Moon

This is certainly an inflexion point of aggression mixed with delusion. And on a Saturday no less. Go the the beach, the creek, take it easy. Definitely don't send that nasty letter to that person that's been on your mind for a while...

Sunday, March 15th

Main Event: Mars/Mercury conjunction, Sun enters Pisces

Practical Mars comes to disect Mercury's plans and demand a practical way forward rather than endless calculations. This is a helpful although likely uncomfortable moment to the unfolding of what is coming. Sun joins Saturn in Pisces which brings further tension to the cosmic forces, but allows for a greater perspective. The Sun here is expansive in highlighting dreams and aspirations and looking ahead. This typically signifies the New Year timing in Vedic culture where completion and new beginnings appear.

Wednesday, March 18th

Main Event: New Moon in Uttarabhadrapada constellation

This New Moon brings great fortune along with great responsibility. The following 4 weeks will tend to give a sense of the overview of things, the CEO level appreciation for what is important and what is not. Saturn and Moon are working closely together currently to bring balance to the nervous system, balance to emotional responsibilities and balance to the ways your needs are met.

Saturday, March 21st

Main Event: Mercury turns direct (end of Mercury retrograde)

Notice how while Mercury retrogrades there is a deep dive into the new direction that you can sense you need to go in. As Mercury turns direct it will be time to act on this new direction through the last week of the month and into April.

Wednesday, March 25th

Main Event: Sun/Saturn conjunction

Once a year, Sun and Saturn come together in a very intense moment of power struggle, authority themes, father/son narratives, and masculine structural reset. This tends to be a moment where the false external ego is broken down by circumstance. In Pisces this whole dialogue lands within the themes of liberation and freedom, bringing profound possibility for spiritual growth.

Saturday, March 28th

Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of increasing Moon
