Hi ,It's time to look at the transits coming in the weeks ahead. Next month we have the first season of eclipses for 2025 beginning with the Lunar eclipse on the 14th of March followed by the Solar eclipse on the 29th of March. These eclipses will be quite strong as they are accompanied by multiple Planet conjunctions at the times of these eclipses. The energies of the eclipses will focus on Pisces and Virgo as the nodes currently sit on the Pisces-Virgo axis. During this transit we will have Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Venus and Rahu very close together in Pisces.Actually Saturn enters Pisces 1st of April, but is very close to the cusp to Pisces at the very end of Aquarius. Ketu sits opposite in Virgo and on the full moon lunar eclipse the moon will be together with Ketu in Virgo. And then with the New Moon Solar Eclipse on the 29th, the moon will join all these other planets in Pisces. So what is coming? First of all, if you have Ascendent, Moon or Sun in Pisces or Virgo, you’re feeling this. With ascendant it’s your physical circumstance of life that's affected, if it’s your Moon it’s your emotional, mental and psychological part of life and if it’s the Sun it’s your purpose and your work and your direction in life being affected. The nodes will always cast a shadow on things and cause us to look deeper at the situation and uncover our blindspots around it. If you were born at a lunar eclipse time then eclipses are stronger for you generally speaking but really we’re more concerned about if Sun, Moon or Ascendent are on this axis. Additionally if you have another planet close to the degrees of these conjunctions that’s going to be affected so we’re talking in this case about the first 5° of Pisces and the first 5° of Virgo. If you have a planet there then the themes that planet rules in your life are also going to be affected by these transits. So we are already feeling the energies of the first eclipse which is coming 14th March because you tend to feel the energy a month before the eclipse and a month afterwards. So then because there’s two weeks between the eclipses then usually an eclipse season lasts for 10 weeks; four weeks before the first eclipse, two weeks between two eclipses and four weeks after the last one. So really what we’re looking at is a window between 14th February and 29th of April that is our season for this particular timing and anything can happen in relation to the eclipses during that particular season. Each eclipse has a theme attached to it and certain planets that are very active during that particular timing so if this eclipse is landing somewhere sensitive in your chart then you’re going to want to contemplate what that affect is.So the first eclipse, the lunar eclipse on 14th March has a lot of Saturn energy to it and it’s a lot about letting go. And in many ways it can be letting go of things you don’t really want to let go of, or that you’re struggling to let go, or you’re holding and Saturn is making it more difficult for you to do the letting go. But the letting go is what’s necessary. This is a lunar eclipse too so there’s two things about lunar eclipses; they're emotional being connected to moon and also the lunar eclipse being a full moon moment is about completion. It’s about results. So Saturn here is trying to say, 'Well there’s something you need to let go of in order to really realise the results you’re seeking in life, and maybe it’s something you don’t really find easy to let go of. Maybe you know that you need to let go or maybe you don’t know what is there and through the eclipse season you discover something that’s in the way. It's also good to look at where this house is in your chart, that is Pisces measured from the ascendant. So if you have Aries ascendant then it’s the 12th house. If you have Taurus ascendent then it’s the 11th house etc. And then think about the house themes in relation to these particular houses because it’s coming up in that area of the sky.The solar eclipse on the 29th is more strong in a way because the moon is going to be with the Sun and all the other planets in Pisces. Also Saturn is that much closer to that part of the sky and the conjunctions are more tight. The lunar eclipse on March 14th is a partial eclipse whereas the Solar eclipse on March 28th is a Total Solar Eclipse. Total eclipses are stronger and carry the energies more intensely. The solar eclipse is a lot to do with action and about doing something but it really requires a lot of caution as well. It has a very strong expression of Mars and Mars isn’t necessarily very healthy in the sky at present. He has been struggling through Gemini and Cancer holding a lot of pent-up frustration. Mars would really like to let that out over this solar eclipse. It’s almost like the feeling that something needs to be done and that can come as an outburst or a rash action or jumping into something just because you feel like you need to do something, even though maybe it’s not the best thing to be doing. Late March is certainly a good time to be cautious about jumping into things and taking action. Rahu is with Sun and Moon at this time and Rahu is the planet that encourages us to jump into things and see what happens. Rahu's shadow though often brings an unexpected outcome where we are not in what we thought we would be in. With regards to the constellations involved this part of the sky contains the Bhadrapada constellations which are about deep transformation. Here we uncover deep truths that perhaps we've been avoiding. It could be the deep truth about what you know needs to be let go of and also the deep truth about how you’ve been avoiding the necessary actions you need to take. This eclipse can bring the feeling that we have to force the issue and also perhaps the emotional aspect of feeling like it would’ve been easier if we just acted earlier without needing all this feeling of frustration and force. Saturn's action in Purvabhadrapada amplifies the frustration and hidden anger or deep-seated anger because the desires haven’t been met or the needs haven’t been fulfilled, or there’s been a lack on some level. It's also fiery in nature so there tends to be a burning sensation around whatever it is that’s been suppressed or hidden here. It is a place where we hide things deep within ourselves and they need to be drawn out.Uttarabhadrapada is connected to water element and it’s more like a baptism or a purification. So we move from the fire to the water. The fire to get things moving and then the water to purify. So sometimes we need to act a bit forcefully and then purify whatever comes up or any difficulties that arose because some action was taken and it caused some friction. So this is already a very powerful part of the sky and the eclipses will amplify these energies.Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and connected to wisdom and spirituality. it’s connected to going beyond the ordinary, beyond the material and doing something for your highest good. These eclipses are really speaking to what is that higher path that I really want to walk on and what do I need to do to first of all let go of whatever needs to be let go of to get into that and then also what action has been needed to be taken for awhile and maybe you’ve been avoiding it and it needs to happen. Also the nodes exhibit their strongest effect at the beginning of the signs because the nodes are always travelling backwards and their highest degree which brings strongest action happens when they're in the lowest degrees of a sign. Another factor in expecting a strong eclipse season. So the nodes are very strong in this particular eclipse the fact is strong, the constellations involved are very powerful, deep spiritual energies and the planets whose predominant energy are acting through these eclipses are Saturn followed by Mars. In astrology whenever the malefic or destructive planets are active then it means things are getting real. It means stuff is happening, important things are happening. Benefic good- natured planets tend to be quite conservative and like the status quo. They like to keep things ticking over and feel that everything is okay.Malefic destructive planets are rebellious. They tend to say, 'no it’s not okay'. Things are not fine the way they’ve been and we need change. We need to do something, we need to upset the rhythm of where we’re going. This is getting boring. This is getting complacent. This is getting unacceptable on some level. So we can expect some revolutionary type of energies through this particular time and in our own personal lives as well as on a broader scale. I have recommended people not to travel during this particular window of time. I do not predict or expect any major catastrophe but it’s an unsettled time, humans will be unsettled and when humans are unsettled it often leads to chaotic situations that can affect your circumstances as a bystander. The other thing we need to remember is that there is an extra kick to these eclipses around the 19th of April and that’s because, Saturn is going to cross the eclipse point at that time. This triggers an extra nudge from Saturn in relation to all of the themes mentioned. We could expect the letting go phase of Saturn to bring one final push if needed around that time. so there’s these extra kicks come from Saturn and Mars these two planets right we know Saturn involved in the lunar eclipse and so we’re gonna get that lunar eclipse about 4 1/2 weeks later on the 19th April And that’s likely to be the completion of the letting go in the sense So if you haven’t already let go at that point Saturn may come through and kick out whatever needs to go. Perhaps you'll be crying as you try to hold on but it needs to go either way.The end of April is a good time to start new directions in life with new purpose. Jupiter moves into Gemini on the 1st of May which brings a new chapter of energy in the cosmos. Then the nodes move into the Aquarius-Leo axis in mid-May and a new journey in the subconscious realms begins then. So that’s a summary of what’s coming over the next couple of months. If you want to get a bit deeper perspective on how it’s going to affect you personally, get in touch and we can arrange a reading. The eclipse times are definitely moments to have heightened awareness because the shadow is coming through the shadowy planets and in order to deal with the shadow we want more light, we want more illumination, we want more awareness. This is a time to be really awake, really open to signs and to journal what's happening so you can see the threads afterwards.
Sunday, March 2nd
Main Event: Venus turns Retrograde in Pisces
Venus is turning retrograde and will travel retrograde in Pisces through the coming eclipse season. In many ways Venus is tasked with keeping the peace between the multiple planets coming together in this sign. Definitely a time to be careful around love relationships and to take things gently. Venus will be much more happy in April once the eclipses pass.
Wednesday, March 5th
Main Event: Mercury enters Pisces
Mercury enters his sign of weakness Pisces although he is definitely happy to move away from Saturn in Aquarius. Mercury gets a lot of support from Venus in Pisces but will be subdued for the coming weeks until he can get to the latter part of the sign. This is also a transit that suggests caution around communication and new endeavours.
Monday, March 10th
Main Event: Fasting for the 11th day of the increasing Moon
Friday, March 14th
Main Event: Full Moon in Uttara Phalguni constellation, Partial Lunar Eclipse
Full Moon in Uttara Phalguni brings themes of abundance and prosperity into our goals and achievements. This is a moment to consider the abundance in our life and where that abundance is flowing, where it is blocked and which structure and organisation can help more abundance to flow. With an eclipse this also brings up subconscious patterns within the psyche in relation to these themes to be looked at and resolved.
Saturday, March 15th
Main Event: Sun changes sign to Pisces, Mercury turns Retrograde in Pisces
This is a day of pause as Sun enters Pisces and Mercury turns retrograde. Sun is happy to move away from Saturn and enter Pisces. Here there is the focus on spirituality and what we are doing in life in relation to going beyond this level of existence.
Wednesday, March 26th
Main Event: Fasting for the 11th day of the decreasing Moon
Saturday, March 29th
Main Event: New Moon in Uttarabhadrapada constellation, Total Solar Eclipse
Uttarabhadrapada constellation is a watery energy related to the themes of achievement and success. There is strong discernment here between the material and the spiritual and achievement relative to each of these areas. This constellation brings Saturn's force of uncovering all the hidden details needed to bring about success in our endeavours in both domains. It's a good month to deeply look at what we are working on and where are the hidden issues that need addressing.
Sunday, March 30th
Main Event: Saturn enters Pisces
Saturn moves on from Aquarius and there will be relief for Aquarius Ascendent and Moon, along with Leo Ascendent and Moon as well. Saturn in Pisces brings a reality check to the dreams of Pisces and a need for those dreams to be proved and brought into a practical state. Pisces Moon and Ascendent are now under Saturn's gaze for the next two and a half years with increased responsibility and focus required throughout this transit.
Monday, March 31st
Main Event: Matsya Jayanti - Appearance anniversary of Matsya Avatar
Matsya is the Vishnu avatar connected to Ketu by Parashara's teachings. Matsya has the form of a fish and his pastime is one of the original flood narratives. On a more practical note, feeding fish in ponds and rivers to help any Ketu issues one has is an effective practice, especially on this day.
