Hi ,

It's time to look at the coming months astrology transits for July 2024 and their influences. Transformation and rejuvenation are a big part of this coming month along with deepening our focus on Saturn's themes now that Saturn begins his journey retrograde. 

Saturday, July 6th  

Main Event: New Moon in Punarvasu constellation

The New Moon this month lands in Punarvasu constellation. This constellation is about change and transformation. We are encouraged to use what we have that is a bit stale and refresh it. Punarvasu is connected to Jupiter, the most expansive planet in the cosmos. This lunar month is a good time to expand our ideas, try new things and explore the boundaries of what is possible. Time to renovate our lives, especially in the first fortnight of the month up to Full Moon. 

Sunday, July 7th 

Main Event: Venus enters Cancer 

Venus has now moved on from his conjunction with Sun and is able to more freely express himself again, with Cancer being a great place to do that. Romantic relationships can again feel the watery, sensual themes of Moon ruled Cancer flowing through Venus. This transit is good for connection and exploring our feelings with others. Cancer brings intuition too, so Taurus and Libra house themes in a chart will have heightened intuition and it's a good time to meditate or contemplate those themes. 

Monday, July 8th 

Main Event: Mars enters Kritika constellation

Mars in Kritika is a powerful combination and runs until July 27th. Kritika is connected to Kartikeya the god of war and Mars is the planet of war. Themes of war and conflict are strong over these 3 weeks, both in personal local context and also in broader context. Kritika is fiery in nature and is related to weapons. It's important to be wise and choose one's battles if one feels this energy strongly and is compelled to act. 

Tuesday, July 9th  

Main Event: Rahu enters Uttarabhadra constellation 

Rahu is transiting Pisces in his permanent retrograde motion and changes Moon constellation today, moving from Revati into Uttarabhadra. This will have a profound effect on those who have planets in Uttarabhadrapada or who have Moon near this part of the sky. Uttarabhadrapada is a constellation related to high levels of achievement. Rahu compels us to break through any conditions or blockages to be free to pursue those achievements. Rahu in Pisces compels us to pursue our dreams. The Uttarabhadra flavour of that brings in the discipline and focus of Saturn that is required to make this process a reality. 

Wednesday, July 10th  

Main Event: Mercury enters Asresha 

Mercury enters his own constellation here for 10 days which gives a lot of energy to Asresha and it's themes of seduction and attraction. It's a time to be inspired about what we do and to share that inspiration with others. A great time to canvas others to join in what we like to do or what we have to offer. 

Friday, July 12th  

Main Event: Mars enters Taurus 

Mars is happy in Taurus, the sign of his friend Venus. Mars likes the materialism themes of Taurus and this is a good time to work hard for material results. Mars joins Jupiter and they have a symbiotic relationship, Jupiter's archetype being a general, while Mars' archetype is a soldier. Their conjunction can lead to action that is wise and well informed, leading to positive outcomes.

Saturday, July 13th 

Main Event: Many planets supporting resource/money themes 

The next few days see a focus of the planets on making money, buying resources, increasing productivity and material growth in general.  

Tuesday, July 16th Main Event: Sun enters Cancer 

Cancer themes are watery, intuitive and sensual. The Sun here brings out the illuminating rather than destructive themes of Sun. Intuition, sensuality and social connection is heightened. The Sun also helps us to feel like we are in the right place and doing what we are meant to be doing, which also relates to Cancer. 

Wednesday, July 17th Main Event: Fasting for 11th day increasing Moon

Saturday, July 20th Main Event: Mercury enters Leo

Leo is the natural 5th which relates to skills and vocation. Mercury's nature is to try new things, so Mercury's transit here is great for trying a new skill or hobby. Mercury is friendly with the Sun and his transit here is generally positive. There is a potential downside which is that Leo has themes of ego and that can bring out the know-it-all aspect of Mercury, especially around the themes he rules in your chart. 

Sunday, July 21st Main Event: Guru Purnima, Full Moon in Uttarashadha constellation

Guru Purnima is the full Moon when the teachers and gurus are traditionally wor- shipped throughout India. This is a good day to honour teachers and guides and their support in our lives.Uttarashadha is about mastery and perfection. Contemplation for this Full Moon is about the details of what you seek to have mastery of in life. Uttarashadha clashes with the transformation themes of the month, as mastery is really about perfecting what we have, rather than completely reinventing what we are working with. This Full Moon is a moment to consider what is it we already have that doesn't need transforming, but rather needs more focus in order to be perfected.  

Thursday, July 25th Main Event: Saturn/Moon conjunction followed by Rahu/Moon conjunction next day

Saturn and Rahu are moving closer and closer together, with Saturn in high degrees of Aquarius and Rahu in the middle of Pisces. The Moon transits between them for about 2 days each month and this time can feel like a time of pressure, intensity, difficulty and challenge, especially in relation to pursuing hopes and dreams. It's a good time for reflection and to take time to process these ideas. 

Sunday, July 28th Main Event: Social connections and enjoyment

The next few days see many planets in a mood of social connection, partying and enjoying with each other. It is a good time to be a bit more relaxed and easeful about life. Expecting results to come through work at this time doesn't really resonate with the planet transits at this time.   

Saturday, July 31st Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of descreasing Moon, Venus enters Leo 

Venus transiting Leo brings relationship themes into the arena of ego and power struggle. Particularly the first part of this transit is often a time where authority dynamics are navigated in these relationship areas or in themes which Venus rules in the chart. Venus doesn't like the heat of Leo or the ego nature of Leo. He prefers more liberal and accomodating themes. Venus has a difficult time transiting Leo and Virgo before recovering his energies in Libra, which he reaches on September 18th. It's a good time to be kind and caring and aware of the struggles of Venus and how they can play out in our lives.
