Hi ,
We are now in the middle of the eclipse season. I was in India on the Full Moon eclipse last week and in the middle of the eclipse moment some pilgrims began arguing and fighting... amazing how Rahu can inspire us at his times of strength. We still have the Total Solar Eclipse coming on 8th-9th next week which will mostly land on the Americas although we need to be mindful about it wherever we may be. The month looks very good after Sun moves into Aries on the 14th. Until then, it's mainly caution. Here's the day by day details:
Tuesday, April 2nd
Main Event: Mercury Retrograde in Aries
Mercury turns retrograde again and goes back over the sensitive spot of water/fire sign meeting between Pisces and Aries. Mercury ruled themes are affected as well as those with Gemini/Virgo Ascendent and Moon. Mercury here inspires change and transformation, however difficult it may be. The water to fire sign change indicates the most challenging kind of change. This also shows endings and new beginnings so there may be something to let go of to make space for something new.
Thursday, April 4th
Main Event: Sun conjunct Rahu, Mars/Saturn conjunction
The coming days sees several combinations that will likely make life more challenging. Saturn and Mars are together in Aquarius which tends to bring conflict and battles. They are now only 4 degrees apart. This combination will intensify up to the exact conjunction on April 11th and then will gradually subside over the subsequent weeks until Mars moves into Pisces on April 23rd. Sun joins Rahu once a year during one of the eclipse seasons and this conjunction comes on 5th April. Sun with Rahu tends to affect our judgement about Sun themes of purpose and goal of life. This week we will likely either feel very unclear about our life purpose, or the opposite, we will have a revelation about it. Rahu brings the full spectrum of possibilities. Mainly it is best not to act in this time, but rather to perceive and see. Time for action will come later in April and into May.
Friday, April 5th
Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of decreasing Moon
Saturday, April 6th
Main Event: Moon/Mars/Saturn conjunction
Moon joins the conflict of the two malefics on this day which happens to be Saturday. We can easily be mentally affected by this combination so it's good to be aware of this and not let the mind run with that negativity.
Tuesday, April 9th
Main Event: New Moon in Purvabhadrapada constellation, Total Solar Eclipse
The New Moon this month lands in Revati constellation. This constellation is about resources, journeys, travel, and facilitation. The coming month is good for material development, investment, travel, facilitating others and their development. It is also good for purchase of larger assets. The total solar eclipse this month is an energy of magic and surprise. It will tend to bring the unexpected, especially in relation to Pisces and Virgo signs, the house themes that are present there, and the planets there. Moon and Ascendent in these signs make the influence particularly strong.
Wednesday, April 10th
Main Event: Mercury enters Pisces
Mercury goes retrograde to enter Pisces and catch the energy of the eclipse joining Rahu Venus and Sun. Mercury will take on more the energy of Rahu and Venus, enhancing the magic qualities of the eclipse. Mercury brings the tendency to act in new directions based on new ideas. Although this may be felt, it will likely be more beneficial to wait to act until after the retrograde completes on 25th April.
Sunday, April 14th Main Event: Mesha Sankranti Sun enters Aries, Naidhan Navtara in Ardra constellation
Sun enters Aries his sign of exaltation and joins Jupiter there. This is a very powerful combination that happens for one month every 12 years. Sun and Jupiter are the two leaders in the sky, the king and the general uniting. It's a good time to command one's affairs. This time Saturn gives a good counter-balance from Aquarius so the ego of Sun doesn't get out of control. A good time to stand up for yourself and set boundaries. This month the 7th Naksatra from New Moon is Ardra which has an energy of deletion. This clashes with the growth and investment of Revati.
Wedneday, April 17th Main Event: Rama Navami - Appearance anniversary of Ramachandra Avatar
Rama was an ancient King of Vedic culture who appeared with his consort Sita, brother Lakshman and servant Hanuman. Rama is connected to the Sun, so this is a great day for Sun rituals. Rama is connected to dharma and his worship assists us to act in our true nature and in harmony with everything and everyone.
Thursday, April 18thMain Event: Rahu/Venus/Mercury conjunction
This combination is very strong for pursuing one's desires as Rahu, the planet of desire is enhanced by exalted Venus, and Mercury also is influenced by Rahu to join the party. We may feel very ambitious and that anything is possible these days especially as the planets are influenced by the eclipse themes from last week.
Friday, April 19th Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of the increasing Moon
Monday, April 22nd Main Event: Moon/Ketu conjunction
This combination can give feelings of disconnect and uncertainty. Moon is also in his own constellation adding to the sensitivity, as well as absorbing the eclipse energies from a few weeks back. These effects are enhanced as this event lands on a Monday.
Tuesday, April 23rd Main Event: Venus enters Pisces
Mars has now moved on from his transit of Saturn and enters Pisces. Here he unites with his enemy Rahu. While both wish to see material progress, Mars seeks to do it in an orderly way whereas Rahu prefers chaos. Expect the coming weeks to be a battle between order and chaos, and the prospect to achieve one's dreams (Pisces) through these two paths. Mars and Jupiter exchange sign in this case as Jupiter is in Aries, which brings the strength of Jupiter and Sun into Mars' field. This will tend to help us to find order in the chaos.
Wednesday, April 24thMain Event: Hanuman Jayanti - Appearance anniversary of Hanuman Avatar, Full Moon in Swati constellation
Hanuman, servant of Rama appeared on this day. Hanuman is very helpful with Saturn issues and this is a great day to invoke his assistance to cross challenges of Saturn. Swati constellation is full of the wind element, which is why Hanuman, son of the wind-god Vayu appears on this Full Moon. This energy is great for movement, travel, changing things, mixing them up, being frivolous and doing the unexpected... like Hanuman. Swati unsettles the stability and planning of Revati and helps us see where our plan is not working and what needs to be changed or adjusted.
Thursday, April 25th Main Event: Mercury turns direct in Pisces, Venus enters Aries
Mercury now turns forwards and is better placed to help us with new endeavours and directions based on what has come up during the eclipses. Venus enters Aries and brings the good feelings of being in Pisces with him, but the party has ended as Sun and Jupiter are in serious discussions in Aries. Venus will try to lighten things up a bit, but there's only so much he can do.
Friday, April 26th Main Event: Moon is isolated with Rahu/Saturn aspect
This day has the Moon weak in Scorpio and aspected only by Rahu and Saturn. The Moon is in Anuradha constellation as well, ruled by Saturn. It's easy to feel isolated and that things are difficult or confusing with this combination. Definitely not suitable for decision making or important activities.
