Astro Newsletter update

Hi ,
I’ve been travelling throughout India and Asia and I’m now back in Australia. I’ve had the fortune to connect to a lot of new people in this time, so welcome to everyone new. I’ve also looked into many who I thought were getting my newsletter updates but hadn’t made it to the list. So welcome to all of you too. I hope we’re now all here together.
So here we are with the next fortnightly newsletter with a summary of the major cosmic forces coming up. It’s a magical moment right now in the cosmos as the eclipse season is upon us and these eclipses are particularly strong, lots of Mars (Solar Eclipse) and Saturn (Lunar Eclipse) themes coming in. More on that below.
In addition a New Year is around the corner so new transit date lists, new astro planners for 2024, and yearly outlooks are all coming. I’ve prepared an introductory course to the basic principles of Vedic Astrology which will be rolling out soon, and I have another course in the works that I feel will help so many of you tune into the Moon.October this year has many significant cosmic events which we will cover in this newsletter one by one. We are again in the eclipse season with Solar Eclipse on 14th October and Lunar Eclipse on 28th October. The nodes Rahu and Ketu will also change sign at the end of the month, indicating new psychological influences on the charts for the coming 18 months. Saturn and Jupiter continue their retrograde motion, with Saturn coming to the end of his retrograde and completing the themes of that journey. Saturn is digging deep in his own sign Aquarius, so the house where Aquarius sits in your chart is getting strongly worked over at this time. Things will shift over the coming few weeks into the next phase of Saturn's transit, which is where he starts to take care of what has been uncovered there.
Thursday, October 12th
Main Event: Sun enters Chitra constellation
For the next 2-4 weeks, our attention turns to Chitra constellation. Chitra will influence the Sun, the New Moon energies of the next month, and the eclipse energies that are coming. Chitra is a constellation of beauty and refinement. She brings the approach of consciously taking care of things. Chitra is playful and very strong with artistic and creative themes. She is connected to the planet Mars, and Mars here wants to give us the determination and drive to share what we love and what we do with others, and to show how beautiful and wonderful those things are and how much we love doing them. The Sun here connects the self to our creative pursuits, so it's a great time for alignment to our creativity and feeling that we are more connected to what we do and how we offer that to others. We can also see extra support for us to set and aim for goals around our creative pursuits.
Saturday, October 14th
Main Event: Solar Eclipse, New Moon in Chitra constellation, Mars enters Swati constellation
We have reached the next season of eclipses which come twice a year. Each eclipse belongs to a family that continues for many centuries, with all of these cycles running alongside each other. This particular solar eclipse has the themes of removal of obstacles and blasting through that which has been holding things up. There is a lot of Mars energy involved, and it will tend to be quite precise in its action. So what is being cleared? That will relate to Virgo and where Virgo sits in one's chart. Virgo ascendents and Virgo Moon people will feel this significantly, with the eclipse degree landing at 25 degrees of Virgo. This will bring a lot of clearing to internal blocks and where they are stuck in themselves. Any planet near there in your chart will also be affected by this clearing energy. The other planet that is affected for everybody in this particular case is Mercury. Mercury being influenced here will tend to make us go into our shells a bit and be less communicative and more internal. Our capacity to solve problems and use our intellect to calculate our way forward can be clouded and less strong.
Sunday, October 15th
Main Event: Moon/Ketu conjunction in Chitra, Mercury enters Chitra constellation
Moon will continue the eclipse energy into the next day and it's best not to make any decisions or act on anything until at least the 17th once Moon is clear of the conjunctions today and tomorrow. Mercury enters Chitra, but he is subdued by the eclipse and will need a few weeks to recover from that influence.
Monday, October 16th
Main Event: Sankranti - Ketu/Moon conjunction, Ketu in Chitra, Mercury to Uttara Phalguni
Moon with Mars may give an energy to act strongly and harness the Mars energies of the eclipse but it's advisable to be cautious with this effect as there is likely more balanced and clear days ahead to act.
Tuesday, October 17th
Main Event: Good day for expansion of projects with money, wealth focus
For example, this day. There's good energy here for money and wealth and taking action towards goals and objectives with a focus on producing money and wealth.
Wednesday, October 18th Main Event: Venus enters Purva Phalguni constellation, Sun enters Libra, Sun/Ketu conjunction
Venus moves further into Leo and enters his own constellation Purva Phalguni. Here Venus really amplifies relationships themes and looks to help relationships function better. It's a good time to spend energy working with relationship partners on the challenges in relationships, especially around masculine themes of direction, decision-making, power and control, and the dynamics of how things are directed within the partnership. Sun in Libra is Sun's position of fall. It combines nicely with Venus energy mentioned above as they are in a sign exchange and the egoic energy of Sun is subdued here allowing further growth in the Venus themes. Sun and Venus work together in relationships, with positive growth attained where there is an awareness of ego and how it gets in the way, and an allowance for greater closeness where there is conscious letting go of themes around the ego.
Thursday, October 19th Main Event: Mercury enters Libra, 6 planets on Aries/Libra axis
Mercury enters Libra, however he's still dealing with the weakness from the eclipse as the predominant theme in relation to him. There are a lot of planets on the Aries-Libra axis over the coming days, so expect some confusion around those areas of life. Multiple conjunctions cause planets to battle for our attention, so the house themes playing out there in each of our charts will affected.
Saturday, October 21stMain Event: Moon in Purva Ashadha
This day is energetically blocked towards the overall subtle lunar energies of this month of having fun, being joyful, being creative and pursuing that which we consider beautiful. This day will tend to bring frustration, and generally be opposite to this month's themes.
Tuesday, October 24th Main Event: Moon/Saturn conjunction
Moon joins Saturn for a day which often brings a moment where we have to emotionally accept the work that lies in front of us, especially in relation to Saturn's movement through Aquarius and which house that is in in a person's chart.
Wednesday, October 25th Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of increasing Moon, Sun enters Swati constellation
The Sun struggles a lot in Swati constellation, as Swati is very airy and unstable and brings a lot of uncertainty. This is a time to question our goals and question ourselves, especially in regards to where we are at in life and what we are doing. These themes are already coming in strongly in relation to the Lunar eclipse which is only a few days away.
Saturday, October 28th Main Event: Full Moon in Aswini in Aries, Lunar Eclipse in Aswini constellation
The Full Moon generally supports us to feel that we are emotionally reaching our goals and moving forward in life as it comes at the end of the increasing Moon cycle. This Full Moon brings an eclipse in Aries, which brings into question themes of identity, who we are and what we are doing. Aries is a fire sign related to action and getting things moving. Without any clarity around who we are it is impossible to act in a helpful and beneficial way. As with Solar Eclipses, there is also groups of Lunar Eclipses and the energy of this particular eclipse relates strongly to Saturn and the facing of our fears. This eclipse is a time to delve into what we are fearful of and to process that. The most effective way will be to live through the experiences of what we fear. So it's a great time to choose to move towards what we fear, to do it, to embrace it, to try to work with it on some level. We will find a lot of support for that process at this time. With the eclipse landing in Aries in Aswini, this is going to come with a swift action, and we will have to be quite agile in our dealing with it. Also themes will come up in relation to the house where Aries is in the chart. Aswini acts swiftly and brings a strong healing effect with it.
Tuesday, October 31st
Main Event: Rahu/Ketu lunar nodes change sign, Rahu enters Pisces, Ketu enters Libra
After 18 months on the axis of Aries and Libra, the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu are entering Pisces and Virgo respectively. This means some relief for the Aries and Libran Ascendent and Moon people and strong influence to Virgo and Pisces ascendent and Moon people. Rahu in Pisces is a strong combination for freedom and the desire to pursue that freedom. Jupiter is the lord of Pisces and so Rahu wants to tap into Jupiter's wisdom to find a way to be more free. That freedom will touch the house themes of Pisces where Pisces lands in your own chart. Ketu in Virgo brings a strong connection to our skills and abilities and how we have served others. We will tend to question how we are doing that and look for ways we can change our giving of service to others. We will tend to seek out more meaningful ways to engage with others. As Ketu relates to the past, we will be brought to look at attachments, guilt, remorse and past emotional baggage in relation to Virgo in our personal chart and Ketu will take us on a process of clearing that and removing it.
