Hi ,

I've spent the last few months on pilgrimage to India, reconnecting with the places, people, temples and culture over here. My time online has been limited and intermittent and I have taken some time to recharge on many levels. It's been a time of heightened intensity as well over the last 6 weeks as we have had the Saturn-Mars opposition in the sky, which has directly influenced my chart. To summarise, it's been a great journey and I will be continuing my travels through Asia over the coming months while being online regularly and available for client calls as I travel. The sky over the next weeks looks particularly focused and directed. We will have Sun in Leo and Mars in Virgo, which gives a lot of fire wanting to be directed towards how we express ourselves and how we serve others. Jupiter is gradually coming free of Rahu's gaze, which will help all the Jupiter ruled themes in everyone's charts. Saturn is now retrograde and digging deep into the issues of Aquarius. Whichever house that is from ascendent and Moon in your chart will require considerable work at this time. Especially challenging for the Leo rising or Moon as it hits relationship and work themes very strongly. Venus is currently retrograde adding to challenges in communication between partners. There is also potential to question dependency and attachment themes as Venus moves through Asresha constellation. 

Wednesday, August 16th  

Main Event: New Moon in Asresha constellation

The next 4 weeks hold the themes of attachment and dependency in relationships. Asresha has the symbology of intertwining snakes, like boa constrictors. Unhealthy Asresha tendencies are when we strangle that which we love by holding on too tightly. This constellation brings up themes of being unable to let go when necessary, and also a deep assessment of all the contracts and agreements in our life. This month is time to reset, renegotiate, and reconsider these agreements. Also be careful what new contracts you enter in this month as they are likely to be very binging and hard to get out of. If you're not sure you want that, then it's recommended to wait until after next New Moon.  

Thursday, August 17th  

Main Event: Sankranti - Sun enters Leo and Magha constellation

Sun leaves Cancer and enters sidereal Leo today. Sun in Leo gives us 4 weeks of strong Solar themes. Leadership, Ego, Lording over others, Personal power, Acting for oneself are all Sun in Leo themes. It won't be an easy moment for these themes to be expressed because Saturn is in Aquarius opposite undermining that expression. Leader and subordinate themes are very strong so we can expect a strong push from both sides, leaders trying to exert authority, and subordinates resisting that and pushing back. These themes can be expected in all kinds of relationships at this time in all areas of life. Of course for one's own case it is reflected in where the Leo-Aquarius axis lands in your chart.

Saturday, August 19th  

Main Event: Sankranti - Mars enters Virgo and will be there until October 3rd

Mars enters Virgo today and this is a very strong Mars transit. Mars thrives in Virgo, the sign of serving others. Mars wants to activate our dedication to the causes that matter to us here. It's a good time to be more generous supporting these causes during this time as that helps Mars to thrive. This is also an ideal time to seek out or try to understand deeper what cause we want to serve or support. It's a great time to join social groups, make connections and investigate where our energy can be given to others.  

Tuesday, August 22nd  

Main Event: Sankranti - Ketu/Moon conjunction, Ketu in Chitra, Mercury to Uttara Phalguni

Moon is with Ketu today, so expect confusion and doubt to come and take care about important decisions and actions. Ketu has now reached Chitra constellation which adds gravity and serious to the psyche and how it approaches our life questions.Mercury in Uttara Phalguni causes a tendency to over give, especially if Mercury already has that action in one's chart. With Sun in Leo it will be important to clearly understand how much one gives to others and how much one gives to oneself at this time. 

Thursday, August 24th  

Main Event: Sankranti - Mercury turns retrograde in Leo

Mercury turns retrograde today, so Mercury themes will tend to feel on hold for a few days. Mercury in Leo brings intellectual thinking to the leadership and skill expression of Leo. This retrograde is a good time to analyse how we lead and run our projects and work through solutions to problems.

Main Event: Full Moon in Satabhishak constellation, Moon/Saturn conjunction

This full moon day is a very good day to be peaceful and not do too much. Full Moon day is connected to Saturn and has the energy of meditation and absorbing the strong rays of the Moon. This full moon comes with Moon/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius further enhancing this meditation theme. This is in the constellation Satabhishak which is all about miracles and unexpected happenings.
