Hi ,

A new year begins with 2023 and the collective expectancy of what lies ahead. The year has started with several transits to slow things down. Mars and Mercury have both been retrograde leading to a degree of confusion and inability to calculate solutions to our collective situations. They are now both going forwards again which means we can all get into the year. The coming weeks are a good time to move forward on everything as all of the planets are moving forwards.Saturn has also changed sign this week and begun 2.5 years journey in Aquarius. This will have a big effect on anyone with Aquarius rising and Moon in Aquarius, as well as Capricorn rising and Capricorn Moon. All four are strongly affected by Saturn's rulership over the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Aquarians can look forward to greater responsibility and personal growth over the coming few years. Capricorns will feel ready to move forward after processing what's come up over the last few years. New Moon this month lands in Uttarashadha. This lunar energy is great for individuality, pursuing your own goals and objectives, working on skills and hobbies, and perfecting your art and your creative expression. It's not so suited to collaborating with others, so best this month to focus on ourselves. Venus is conjunct Saturn this week which will put a lens on love relationships and how they are functioning. Aquarius sign where this happens leads us to higher ideals and reaching towards a perfection in our relationships where they can be flowing on their highest vibration possible. These experiences will probably show themselves outwardly as the planets are in Dhanistha, the constellation of outward expression. 

Tuesday, January 24th  

Main Event: Mercury in Purvashadha

Mercury's social aspect gets very strong here although Mercury can struggle to find the drive to follow through on those connections that come up. Rahu's aspect can throw up unexpected social connections which have potential but require deeper reasons to exist for them to be sustained. 

Wednesday, January 25th  

Main Event: Sun enters Sravan constellation

Sravan is about hearing and speaking and finding an audience to share your message with. The Sun here for the next fortnight puts a focus on goals within these themes. What is my area of expertise, how am I sharing it and how to better connect to or to grow that audience? On an internal level it can be a time to illuminate deeper wisdom around our chosen area of study or interest.  

Saturday, January 28th  

Main Event: Venus enters Shatabhishak, many planets in Artha pada for the coming days

Venus here brings spontaneity to love relationships. It's time to surprise those we love and care about... especially on Friday!Artha pada means wealth, money and prosperity. With many planets here it is a great time to spend money and make money, launch money making ventures, and in general to seek out assets, property, investments and other money making endeavours.

Sunday, January 29th  

Main Event: Moon conjunct Rahu on Astami

This combination brings a lot of Rahu energy to the day. This either shows itself in a chaotic way where Rahu can bring confusion, or in an inspired way where we can tap into our deeper creativity.

Tuesday, January 31st  

Main Event: Moon joins Mars in Rohini on Tuesday

This is a very dynamic combination which can bring lots of creative ideas about how to move forward in a practical sense. An excellent day to plan and dream and set intentions.

Main Event: Fasting for the 11th day of the increasing Moon

Main Event: Full Moon in Ashresha constellation

Ashresha is about binding contracts with others and the arousal we feel being with others and stimulated by them. This energy clashes with the overall month's energy of individuality and focussing on one's own pursuits. Meditation for the Full Moon will be how our engagements with others interfere or hinder our focus upon ourselves and how relationships in our lives take time away from us developing our own skills and talents.
