Astro Newsletter update

Hi ,

We are once again in the eclipse season which happens twice a year with the Solar eclipse coming first and then followed by the Lunar eclipse on the coming full moon. Eclipse energies last for 3-6 months after the event, and even up to 9 months after. Each eclipse belongs to a group of eclipses within the same cycle and is a progressive investigation of those themes which tie to the original eclipse date in the cycle. This particular Solar eclipse is about empowerment and embracing one’s manic or inspired self. Its energies pose the question of what needs to be done within to be able to connect more with others and include others. It’s quite an independent and ego destroying experience as it hits Sun in Libra where Sun loses egoism and has to work for others. The constellation is Swati which relates to air and wind. Here the hurricane blows away everything blocked and leaves a wasteland of attachments to be sorted through.Swati is ruled by Rahu, the North node, so strong lunar forces are playing in relation to the psyche. This eclipse gives a person the energy to follow their own path and do things their own way, if they allow that to come in. It’s also likely to bring up past issues relating to these themes. Because South node Ketu is together with the Sun.If you have Moon or Ascendent in Libra then you will feel this eclipse quite strongly and will likely be more affected by the themes mentioned. Best prayers or rituals to harmonise the energies related to this eclipse season are to those to Durga or Hanuman for help and support through the inevitable transformation. Durga is helping because Rahu is currently in her constellation of Bharani. Hanuman is helpful because Swati constellation is filled with the energy of Vayu, the wind god and Hanuman is his son. The Solar eclipse is hitting Russia, Ukraine and Europe so we can expect major upheavals in that part of the world and a likely escalation of the war. New Moon in SwatiThis month the new moon is in Swati which brings a chaotic energy to the month, along with the mood of wilful independence. It's a good month to be free and let others be free too, so long as there's no harm being caused. If you try to reprimand or take a position of authority you will inspire others to rebel even more. Swati does not care for the rules, and the Sun, the natural authority in the sky is now in Swati surrounded by Venus and Ketu. It is time to lovingly nurture and encourage rather than to demand from others. Saturn is also aspecting Libra from Capricorn and is amplifying the need for Sun to express his nurturing side rather than his authoritarian side.We have a four planet conjunction in Libra for the coming weeks with Mercury also there together with Sun, Venus and Ketu. Venus rules Libra and is helping to keep harmony here between Ketu and Sun who are natural enemies. The theme here is of inclusion and finding a way to work with others, even a way to work with your enemies by going to a deeper level of love for yourself and for others. The other important theme is to do what you love and are inspired by and to share that with others as best you can. It can easily be a trigger for change of life path, with this lunar month having its themes reverberate for several months due to the eclipse events.  Saturn has now completed his retrograde motion and will continue moving forward until reaching Aquarius in January. This is good news for anyone with Moon or Ascendent in Capricorn or Aquarius. Saturn will gradually pick up speed from now onwards which will tend to make life more progressive rather than digging into issues which the retrograde motion brings.

Monday, October 31st

Main Event: Mars turns retrograde

Mars turns retrograde today, so people with Moon or Ascendent in Aries or Scorpio are affected by the stationary moment of Mars, Aries is especially affected as Aries is involved in the current eclipse cycle. Mars represents conflict and retrograde Mars compels us to look at areas of conflict in our lives and better ways to resolve those issues. Mars is in his own constellation Mrigashira, and here Mars is searching for answers. This constellation has an innocence and sincerity to it, helping also to reduce the conflict energy of Mars and encourage his productive side.

Friday, November 4th

Main Event: Fasting for 11th day of the waxing Moon

Venus enters Vishakha constellation. Vishakha is about growth and expansion and Venus here brings a progressive energy to the eclipse themes and to relationships and agreements with others. It's time to find ways to move forward in relation to these themes.

Tuesday, November 8th

Main Event: Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Bharani constellation

This Full Moon comes with a Lunar Eclipse. This eclipse has the themes of realising where things aren't working or haven't worked out and need to be changed. Can we recognise our mistakes and where we have messed things up and have the courage to change? There is also a theme of realising that in some areas of life we would be better not doing anything at all rather than acting and making things worse. Saturn is very strong in relation to this eclipse which will tend to give no option but to make changes and do things differently.
