It's time to look again at the coming fortnight's movements of the planets in the sky.New Moon in Uttara Phalguni brings abundance and growth as the key themes for this lunar month. We will be compelled to look at how we are facilitating our lives, how we are blocking ourselves, themes of self-sabotage and limitation. The receptive and abundant feminine wants to shine, but will the masculine active part of ourselves allow that? And how is the active and driven part of us getting in the way of the natural flow of our lives? These kind of themes will tend to show themselves.

Main Event: Sun to Hasta constellation

Sun is now in Hasta constellation for 2 weeks. It's time to become practical with our goals and find ways to share our wisdom and abilities with others. Hasta is connected to the Sun in the Sun's higher more spiritual aspect, so it is a great time for spiritual activities. 

Saturday, October 1st  

Main Event: Navaratri and Durga Puja

Navaratri literally means 9 nights and it is the worship of the Devi particularly in her form as Durga over these 9 nights. There is also special worship of Durga over 5 days from 1st to 5th October.Durga is one of the forms of Parvati, the consort of Shiva. Durga means prison and her role is to keep those in illusion bound in that condition as a prison warden takes care of the situation of the prisoners. She is the well-wisher of all however has to perform this activity as part of her duties. Durga is fierce and takes no prisoners and it is a great time to pray to her for strength to overcome any obstacles presenting themselves on our path to our higher journey.

Venus can feel a bit overwhelmed here with grand visions and the work required to achieve them. It's important to break everything down into small manageable steps if you are strongly Venus ruled or influenced.
