Astro Newsletter update

Hi ,

It's time to look again at the coming fortnight's movements of the planets in the sky.

We are seeing the steady continuation of what's been mentioned in the last newsletter. We are now in the energies of Revati and change is at hand. Revati is the final constellation of the 27 and themes of completion and ending will be present this month. This also marks new beginnings, new journeys and new directions. This is a great time to start a new path or project or refresh your existing path with new energy, new ideas and a new approach. Revati also brings wisdom and abundance, it is the higher aspect of Mercury, when industry combines well with intelligence. There are several very important transits this month with all 4 of the slowest planets changing sign. This will likely give us a month that is a bit uncertain with lots of shifting energies. Everything will become clearer in May as these planets become established in their new positions.

Friday, April 8th

Main Event: Mars to Aquarius, Venus to Shatabhishak constellation

Mars crossed over Saturn in the last few days and has now reached Aquarius. The tension caused by these planets coming together will settle down over the coming days as Mars moves further away. In Aquarius, Mars gives the determination to see things more clearly and to go deeper into the understanding of events. It is a time of firm decisions and following through with one's convictions.Venus in Shatabhishak constellation brings some magic into our lives especially around the themes related to Venus (the house themes of the chart ruled by Venus). Here Venus can create something from nothing and we can see sudden unexpected shifts in our relationships as well over the coming days.

Saturday, April 9th

Main Event: Mercury to Aries

Mercury enters Aries today and this is a moment of strong potential for Geminis, Virgos and Mercury themes. This part of the sky is very dynamic and lucky, and ruled by the Aswini twins. These twin horses are healing, transforming, highly active and great for activation. The coming days will give the energy of opportunity through Mercury to the themes he influences.

Sunday, April 10th

Main Event: Rama Navami

Today is the appearance of the avatar Lord Rama who was a great king in ancient times. He rescued his consort Sita from Ravana crossing the sea to Sri Lanka with the help of Hanuman. Rama is well known in astrology circles as his chart is often used as an example. This is because every planet is his chart is in exaltation, or highest position. Rama was the embodiment of truth and dharma. And still he went through so much ordeal in life and struggle. His example teaches us that no matter how perfect things can be set up in this world, there will still be challenges, obstacles and difficulties to overcome which will give rise to personal growth, wisdom and experience. This week we get a very nice alignment of tithi and vara which happens a few times a year. The Lord of the lunar and solar days aligns for the week. This will increase the energy between these two forces bringing greater potential for your emotions and feelings to be aligned to your actions and goals. It begins on Sunday 10th and continues for about 11 days.

Tuesday, April 12th Main Event: Ekadasi fast

Fast for the 11th day of the increasing Moon.

Wednesday April 13th

Main Event: Rahu to Aries, Ketu to Libra

Today the nodes change sign, which happens every 18 months. This indicates a shift in the primary karmic forces that play out in the psyche of everyone. Rahu moves from Taurus where his material ambition is healthy and strong into Aries where he is more agitated and impulsive. Rahu in Aries often indicates new directions and new beginnings as the ambition of Rahu aligns to the impulsive creative urge of Aries. These forces combine with the force of Agni-ruled Kritika over the coming months. Ketu moves from Scorpio where he attains deep wisdom into Libra a sign of connecting with others. Ketu's influence will tend to disconnect people and encourage people to become more self sufficient and self reliant. Connections with others will need to become more authentic and have deeper reason and meaning. Ketu will dissolve the superficial connections and encourage us to experience the implications of the subtler energies that are at play within our relationships with others.

Thursday, April 14th

Main Event:  Jupiter to Pisces

We've been waiting for this day for months, and finally it has arrived. And on a Thursday no less. Jupiter is finally clear of the rulership and prolonged conjunction of Saturn and returns to his home of Pisces. Here Jupiter will begin to shower his blessings of wisdom, support and care onto the world without restriction. Now it is time for everyone to process what they have been through over the last few years and come to a place of understanding. Jupiter's movement signifies an ending to the restrictions and limitations which it is expected will shift swiftly over the coming months. That will also be aligned to a new understanding combined with progress and new ways of doing things. Relationships, which have in general been under so much pressure for months now, will likely see some relief as Jupiter's strength returns and the male partners of the world are energised to reciprocate in a healthy way within their relationships.

Friday, April 15th

Main Event:  Sankranti - Sun to Aries, Mercury to Bharani constellation

Today following Jupiter's move, the Sun enters Aries for one month, his happiest sign. Sun in Aries brings light and prospect, energising everything. As Rahu has also entered Aries, the Sun's presence here will give illumination to darkness and reveal the truth. The next eclipse cycle will come over the coming weeks as Sun moves close to Rahu. Bharani is symbolised with the womb giving birth. Mercury here will be a very strong time to birth new ideas. Sun and Mercury in Aries is typically very strong for the launching of new projects.

Saturday, April 16th

Main Event:  Full Moon in Chitra constellation

Chitra is playful and creative. The Moon is very happy in this early part of Libra, a social sign about connections with others. This is a wonderful time to feel the creative spark. With Saturn ruling both lunar and solar days it is a great time to meditate and go within. It's also a great time to serve others, especially those in need.
