Astro Newsletter update

Hi ,

It's time to look again at the coming fortnight's movements of the planets in the sky.

As expected the last week has been very intense with many serious events happening. Mars, Venus and Saturn all together signify a war producing combination and now we are seeing things escalating over the globe. Interestingly this was all during the lunar month of Sravan constellation which is ruled by the Moon. New Moon of a few days ago was in Shatabhishak constellation which is an exceptionally mysterious one. It is signified by magical possibilities and unexpected outcomes, making something from what would appear to be nothing. This suggests that with Rahu's strong influence in Taurus in the sky things will remain tense until March 9th. Hopefully once the Moon reaches Rahu on March 9th, there can be a moment of rebalance and positive outcomes can be pursued. Rahu by nature is very creative or very destructive, and it is all his play. He laughs as the world churns. With Mars and Venus continuing to dance closely together the tension is likely to continue. We could well see difficult conflict until April 7th when Mars leaves Capricorn and moves on from Saturn's gaze.

Saturday, March 5th

Main Event: Sun conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius

For the next few days Sun joins Jupiter which would suggest authority figures setting down rules and looking to exert positions of power. Sun and Jupiter are the two largest bodies in the sky and are both involved with authority and rule. These energies will amplify over the coming week.

Monday, March 7th

Main Event: Mercury enters Aquarius

Mercury aligns to the intellect and resourcefulness of Aquarius. Mediation becomes Mercury's primary focus here. That endeavour is supported by wise Jupiter as well.

Wednesday, March 9th

Main Event: Rahu conjunct Moon in Taurus, Mercury enters Shatabhishak constellation

Rahu conjunct Moon in Taurus, Mercury enters Shatabhishak, the new moon constellation, to work some magic. Mercury and Rahu are both airy planets and in the Air sign Aquarius, Mercury feels freedom to move and make alliances and agreements that are perhaps unexpected. This is the lunar month of surprises after all.

Friday, March 11th Main Event: Moon in Mrigashira constellation

Good day to work towards solutions in any ongoing conflict. Many planets in Dharma pada and Moon in Mrigashira constellation - Mrigashira is about searching for the truth and for answers. Dharma pada means that consistency and performing one's duty is rewarded and that will bring you into best flow in life over these days.

Saturday March 12th

Main Event: Venus and Mars enter Sravan constellation

Venus and Mars enter Sravan constellation together. They increase the sensitivity (Venus) and also determination (Mars) to communicate, to hear and be heard. Saturn's gaze remains though over the pair of them, making all of this a difficult process. Saturn demands focus on the details and the utmost of integrity. Where that is lacking Saturn will grind upon things making them more difficult.

Monday, March 14th

Main Event:  Fasting for the 11th day of the Moon, Ekadasi.

Fast for half-day or full day, from grains only or more.

Tuesday, March 15th

Main Event:  Sankranti, Sun enters Pisces

Sun finally ends two months under Saturn's rulership and reaches the sign of wisdom in Pisces. Sun is the planet of goals and so the communication and determining energies of Aquarius are changed to the wise, sage-like Pisces themes. Pisces is ultimately a faith and belief energising sign, so those themes are likely to increase.

Friday, March 18th

Main Event:  Full Moon in Uttara Phalguni constellation.

Uttara Phalguni is an abundant constellation of co-operation and nurturing, uniting female and male energies for common good. The Moon thrives in this constellation and it is a wonderful day to consider how one can harmonise the giving and receiving between male and female energies within themselves, with their partners and to observe/support this in the environment as well. This full moon day is considered the New Year in many parts of Vedic tradition. On this day there is a grand celebration called Holi where paint is thrown in festivity. It is also the appearance day of the Krishna Avatar called Chaitanya who established mantra chanting as the best practice of spirituality for this age.
