Hi ,
It's time to look at the next fortnight of cosmic movements in the sky.
Friday, February 18th
Main Event: Saturn to Dhanistha constellation, Planets in mood of freedom
There is a lightness and free spirit to the energies over the next few days. A great time to feel more free and have fun. Good for social engagements and inspiration.Saturn enters the constellation of Dhanistha, which is concerned with material productivity that is promoted due to attractiveness or desirability. As Saturn is a lens of focus onto the details, we will see him question all of these things in this sign. Saturn will ask, "why the need for the material objects, are they really that important?" This is an opportunity to really find clarity in the objects that one really desires in life and to clear away the ones that seem attractive or desirable but on closer inspection are not fully aligned to our higher path. Saturn will be here until March 15, 2023. Plenty of time to investigate these themes.
Sunday, February 20th
Main Event: Mercury to Sravan, Sun to Shatabhishak constellation
Mercury enters Sravan constellation where high intelligence of Mercury combines with teaching and sharing knowledge to others. This is a wonderful time for study and for sharing wisdom with others. It's also a great time to realise the best way to say things to others which you may have been unsure how to express them previously.Sun will be in Shatabhishak for 13 days. This is an opportunity to strengthen leadership. It will be possible if those in leadership roles can bring together all of the intangibles in their field and unite them to a common purpose. If you are under a boss of some kind, you may find that they increase their demands or grand plans and that puts more pressure on your position. It will be interesting how this plays out in relation to the Mars/Saturn themes coming up...
Wednesday, February 23rd
Main Event: Venus to Uttarashadha constellation
Venus goes into the constellation of victory, where we can see the victory of love. In practical terms, Venus's themes of love, affection, mercy, grace and compassion rise to a prominent position and such values shine.
Thursday, February 24th Main Event: Moon/Ketu conjunction
Moon is with Ketu here so not a good time for decisions or clarity. Good for meditating and contemplation. Also good for clearing past issues or situations that are still lingering.
Sunday February 27th
Main Event: Mars to Capricorn, Ekadasi fast
Mars enters his sign of exaltation Capricorn. Themes of battle, war and fighting are heightened here, with Mars wanting to see change and actual measurable results. This will be a very serious time as Saturn and Mars are together in Capricorn until April 7th. Be very careful about themes of conflict and argument as well as battles with authority. Mars will tend to exarcebate the energies around these themes and Mars will demand some action some level. Saturn's presence as over-ruler will ensure that difficult truths have to be faced. War is very possible with a transit like this, so in many ways it's necessary to focus the energy of Mars to battles and endeavours that are worth it and in which you can see good outcomes. Choose wisely!Mars functions well when honour and integrity are held, which support action that is helpful and productive, even if it is uncomfortable. Mars relates to solar plexus chakra and self-image. The distortion of our self-image through low self-esteem or low self-belief leads to disruptive action, and then painful reactions. My teacher had a saying on his door - 'think 100 times before you do anything'. That is certainly the meditation for the coming 6 weeks.
Monday, February 28th
Main Event: Moon and Venus to Capricorn. 5 planet conjunction in Capricorn.
For the next few days we have 5 planet conjunction in Capricorn. This is a very strong conjunction with Mars and Saturn in a destructive mood, Mercury trying to offer intelligent options, Venus trying to appeal to everyone's heart, and the Moon feeling very challenged by all of these forces. It is a time for utmost care. This conjunction brings conflict into an inevitable position, so it's best to avoid those with whom conflict has any possibility.
Tuesday, March 1st
Main Event: Shivaratri
This day is the celebration day of Lord Shiva and is a grand festival held throughout all of India. Shiva is able to greatly help us and he is easily pleased by anyone who approaches sincerely. Ratri means night, as the prayers and worship go all night into the following morning. Shiva is the master of Maya, so he is in a unique position to help us in our challenges with the material energy, personified as his consort Parvati Devi.
Wednesday, March 2nd
Main Event: New Moon in Shatabhishak constellation
The New Moon is in Shatabhishak constellation in the centre of Aquarius. Shatabhishak is a magical and alchemical constellation. This Moon position gives rise to an unexpected month ahead where things we didn't think could happen are happening. Shatabhishak has the possibility to bring together various disparate elements or ingredients and to produce something of true value. It is a time to draw together what we have and to make some magic. This constellation is ruled by Rahu and incites his ambitious, brilliant and unexpected energies. It's important to be open to all possibilities.
