Hi Sadhu Astro Vedic Astrology Fans and Clients, 

It's time to once again look at what's happening in the sky above for the coming fortnight. 

Tuesday, December 7th  

Main Event: Moon/Venus conjunction in Sagittarius in Uttarashadha 

Venus, the planet of love, comes to the constellation of Victory and is joined there by the Moon. Love are big themes at the moment with the eclipse season at this time bringing relationship issues up to be resolved. Lots of questions around coming together and separating. 

Venus tends to struggle when in places of the sky ruled by the Sun, so there can be tension in the natural Venus themes, along with anything that Venus rules in your own life. 

Thursdays, December 9th  

Main Event: Moon/Saturn conjunction, Venus to Capricorn 

Venus enters Capricorn, where he feels relief from the fiery rules of Sagittarius and joins his friend Saturn in his home. Venus is great friends with Saturn and in Capricorn, Venus finds his desire to achieve material comforts and successes re-energised. Here the love themes and other themes of Venus can be looked into deeper and resolved.

Saturday, December 11th  

Main Event: Mercury to Moola 

Mercury will be a bit edgy for a few days on 10th-11th as he goes through the weak (gandanta) point of the water sign Scorpio into the fire sign Sagittarius. Thereafter he will be transiting Sagittarius where he feels the ambition of the sign, combined with the energy of trying to prove himself. From this point Mercury moves through the 4 signs of the slower moving planets so it is a time to be a bit more patient around the Mercury themes of our lives, and in general business development. In this sense, as we come into the end of the year, it is time to finish things off with a good consistent flow, and go into more of a planning phase, with the next impetus to launch and aim to achieve ambitious developments around Mercury themes from March, which is the natural start of the year, rather than January.

Monday, December 13th Main Event: Ketu/Mars conjunction 

Mars, the planet of violence and war, meets Ketu, the planet of wisdom and spirituality, in their mutual sign of ownership Scorpio. Here is a chance for higher wisdom to enter and redirect mindless aggression to a far more favourable and intelligent use of the drive and determination of Mars. 

Ketu in this position is exalted and also getting very strong at the low degrees of the sign. So there's a chance that conflict can be avoided in favour of negotiation and deeper wisdom.

Wednesday, December 15th

Main Event: Sun to Sagittarius - Sankranti, Ekadashi

This is going to be quite an intense day, with the Sun changing sign moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius and also it is the fortnightly fasting day. 

So this is a day to take it easy, eat less, avoid intense situations and decisions which can be put off for a few days. 

Friday, December 17th

Main Event:  Moon/Rahu conjunction, Mars/Ketu opposite, Sun in Moola/Sagittarius

This is another day of intensity, with Moon, Mars, Rahu and Ketu all within a few degrees on the Taurus/Scorpio axis. Moon and Rahu coming together brings self delusion and uncertainty, fortunately only for a day. The longer lingering effect of this day is that Mars joins the eclipse degree from the last few weeks and activates strongly the themes we discussed from those alignments. 

Sun enters Sagittarius which gives illumination to what our duty is and what needs to be done for us to achieve our dharma, or natural function, as Sagittarius is the sign of doing that regardless of circumstances.

Sunday, December 19th 

Main Event:  Full Moon in Mrigashira 

The Full Moon in Mrigashira brings an energy of awakening as Mrigashira themes are about searching for the truth and for answers that will give us higher connection, higher meaning and higher purpose. These 2 weeks leading up to this Full Moon will be an unfolding of these themes over these days.
