It's time to once again look at what's happening in the sky above for the coming fortnight.  

Oct 22

Ma to Li, Ra now in Krit

Mars carries his strong Virgo experience into his friends sign in Libra, the sign of partnerships and relationships. Be careful of conflict in these areas as Mars transits, although that will come especially in the higher degrees of the sign. He is still in Chitra at the moment, his own constellation, which gives drive and energy for us to pursue our creative talents and interests.

Rahu moving from Rohini into Kritika is a big change for those with Sun and Moon ruled Moon constellations. For the Moon constellations Rohini, Hasta and Sravan you are now clear of the chaos and confusion of Rahu energy and he becomes an ally to help you achieve your endeavours. His shadow now moves to those with Sun constellations Kritika, Uttaraphalguni and Uttarabhadrapada. He will be in the Sun constellation for the next 9 months. Because it is a Sun ruled constellation Rahu likes to cause disturbance, also he is getting stronger as he moves to the lower degrees of Taurus, a place where he is already very strong. So for those people with Sun ruled Moon constellation you will need more patience in life. Unless you are making major changes where Rahu will inspire you to throw caution to the wind and reset your schedule.

Mo/Ra conjunction

Moon will be aligned to Rahu for a day on the 24th. Not a great day to make big decisions or important movements. It is a great day to meditate, plan and think about areas of life that need deeper insight.

Su to Swa

The Sun continues his journey through Libra, experiencing varying degrees of discomfort as he has his ego subdued by the loving and caring energies of Libra. The Sun enters Swati which will tend to trigger uncertainty, especially in authority figures as they are connected to the Sun. It is a great time to drop ego and connect with others on a deeper level, as the ego in all of us is thrown to the winds of Vayu ruled Swati.

Me to Chit

Mercury has completed retrograde and moves from Hasta to Chitra. Mercury in Chitra along with Mars is fantastically creative, inspired and productive. An excellent time to study, educate, learn new skills and develop your knowledge. This is also a great time to understand how to help others especially if there is someone you are trying to help and you’re unsure how to do it best.

Ve gandanta, Ve - Sag, Mool

Venus goes through a couple of difficult days at the end of October. His transition from Scorpio to Sagittarius is very intense as he moves from watery Scorpio to fiery Sagittarius. Be very aware around the loving relationships in your life at this time. It’s not a time to sort anything out, actually will be better to have some space from your partner for these 2 days and reconnect on the 1st November.

Ekadasi fast, Ma to Swat

November 1st is the 11th moon day of the waning fortnight and is a fasting day (generally from grains and legumes). Mars who rules the lunar day goes to Swati where he is now riding the airs of Libra, Swati and Vayu. The fiery Mars can get violent and aggressive fuelled by this air, so be cautious regarding conflict with others (Libra) and conflict in the areas of your life where Mars sits or where he rules.

Me to Li

Mercury leaves his home and office on November 3rd and enters Libra where his businessman nature becomes very strong. His transit here is excellent for business development, partnerships, planning and strategy.

4 planets in Li, Divali

November 4th is the festival Divali where lamps are placed on the altars of Vishnu temples in India. It is a time of renewal and inner awakening. From 4-5 November it’s an excellent time to increase spiritual practices and spend more time on yourself. We have a 4 planet conjunction in Libra for these 2 days so the world around us is likely to be a bit chaotic and unstable for a couple of days.

New Moon in Li in Swati

New Moon comes this month in Swati the constellation of Vayu and Rahu, symbolised by a hurricane. It signifies a turbulent and uncertain month ahead, with major changes as Rahu is 8th from Libra currently and getting stronger and stronger as he moves through Taurus. It will be important to make the extra effort to care for others and give shelter from this hurricane to those who need it.
