Astro Newsletter update

Hi ,
It’s time for our fortnightly look at the skies to see what’s coming up in the near term. The coming fortnight is somewhat less eventful with less Moon/malefic conjunctions and it’s a fortnight where the Moon is generally happier with his placement in the sky. This fortnight is the waning half of the Moon cycle, which has a stronger solar energy
than the lunar energy increase of the waxing Moon. Generally speaking it is better to be more restful during the last week of the Moon cycle before New Moon, especially those final 2-3 days when the Moon has a lot less strength.
Sept 22
Me to Libra, Ma to Hasta
Mercury carries his strength from being in Virgo into Libra. This is an excellent combination for business dealings, partnerships and agreements. It’s also excellent for looking for support in your endeavours. At the same time Mars moves to the next constellation in Virgo, Hasta. Hasta is a very practical constellation and Mars thrives here with putting plans into action. So expect a strong practical few weeks while Mars is in this position. Hasta is all about having a higher vision and plotting how to action it in the practical sense, something which Mars thrives in.
Sept 23
Ve to Vishakha
Venus continues his movement through Libra into the next constellation Vishakha. Vishakha is symbolised by a lightning bolt and it is here where growth is unavoidable. Vishakha is like the splitting of the atom, which releases energy, potential and new growth. Expect some shifts in relationships, especially intimate ones and ways opening up for new directions in any area of life that is influenced by Venus.
Sept 27
Me retrograde, Sun to Hasta, Mo/Ra conjunction
Once again Mercury comes to a stop and begins retrograde motion. The most important days are the turning point days. So with Mercury’s quick motion, it is only the day before and after that are also considered restricted. Otherwise his motion is sufficient for things to happen. Mercury retrograde affects everybody differently, essentially retrograde is when we go backwards and dig in to the issues around a certain planet and sign. Mercury’s retrograde in this case is predominantly in Virgo which gives him a special moment to dig deeply into his strongest sign and reset everything there. Wherever Virgo is in your chart by the house system is about to get a major reset over the coming few weeks.
The Sun moves iinto Hasta to join Mars there. This is a special combination of higher wisdom because Savitur, a form of the Sun-god is connected to Hasta constellation, and in turn the mantra connection here is the Gayatri. It is a great time to be chanting or listening to the Gayatri prayer and meditating on the Solar illumination of wisdom in our lives.
At the same time on this day Moon joins Rahu in Rohini constellation in the centre of Taurus. So this is a moment in the month of strong desire, where we can easily be overcome by our emotions and inner wants. A good day to be cautious about chasing unrealistic expectations.
Oct 2
Ve to scorpio, fasting day, Me back to Virgo, Mo/Sa opposition
Venus moves to Scorpio as relationship areas of life go under the microscope of deeper meaning and deeper fulfilment. This is the 11th lunar day so is the traditional day of fasting in Vedic culture. Mercury returns to Virgo to begin his process of digging into the affairs of his home here with the support of Sun and Mars and their fire which helps to get this job done. Moon is in Cancer opposite Saturn on this day, so it’s easy to feel uneasiness, limitation, over-sensitivity and a need to help others but perhaps an uncertainty about how to do that best.
Oct 6
New Moon in Hasta, Virgo, 4 planet conjunction, with Su, Mo, Ma, Me
Here we have a 4 planet conjunction in Virgo with the New Moon in Hasta constellation. This is an excellent time to be internal and sit deeply within oneself and do inner work. Inner illumination comes through Hasta and with Sun and Mars the fire of dharma to get yourself onto the path that shows itself through this inner attention. Hasta is ruled by the Moon, so it is a sensitive time. Rahu also adds his aspect from Taurus where he sits Rohini constellation, also ruled by Moon, showing that his aspect is very close by degrees.
