Hi ,
Here we begin our discussion of points of interest in the sky over the coming fortnight. Actually there are numerous moments of interest going on constantly in the cosmic play, and through that we will endeavour to cover the essential ones. At certain times of the year when the eclipse season comes around there will be a focus upon those events, currently June and December is when they occur. We can see from the most recent Lunar Eclipse that covered the East Coast of Australia as the Moon rose for several hours in the evening, the shadow it cast has created a wave of uncertainty and fear throughout this part of the country with lockdowns, clashes with authority and general unease throughout society. The effect of eclipses generally runs until the next cycle of eclipses which will be in December, hence the uncertainty likely has a few more months to run.
Sun is currently in Leo (sidereal) until 17th September. Sun is the planet of authority and ego and clearly authority is looking to express its position at this time. The Sun will energise the more compassionate Virgo energies after the 17th where things should be a little more easy to handle. Saturn continues to undermine the position of authority figures as he transits through Capricorn, a transit that will continue until April 2022.
Sept 6 - Ma to Vi, Ve to Li, New Moon in PPha
September the 6th sees the next significant change of planets in signs with Mars moving to Virgo and Venus moving to Libra. This signifies Venus escaping his sign of fall in Virgo and entering Mool-trikona status in Libra. This means Venus is again in his office and ready to work on everything he is responsible for. This will definitely bring increased feelings of love and better relationships between people with it being a good time to road map forward challenging relationships as the planet of relationships is in his office. Mars is very strong in Virgo and brings his practical nature to the Earth sign of Virgo where he is the warrior looking to serve (natural 6th) and help others.
The New Moon lands in the centre of Leo in Purva Phalguni constellation which is concerned with pleasure and its attainment. This alignment combined with Venus transit puts the energy of renewal on relationships, particularly intimate relationships. New Moons indicate new beginnings and new ways to approach these areas of life. Purva Phalguni is very creative so the new Moon here is great for new creative beginnings. As connection with others is essential to this constellation, the coming month is likely to see a stronger yearning for people to connect and increased unhappiness with restrictions upon that.
Sept 8 - Mo/Ma conjunction
It is important to note the dates of conjunction (same degree in the sky) of the Moon with other planets especially the malefics. These are important moments of agitation of our collective psyches. September 8th sees Moon conjunct Mars which is normally a day of increased Mars energies in the psyche. In this case we have a positive Mars energy as he is happily situated in Virgo. This will give increased drive, determination and will to get things done. It is an especially good day because it is a Wednesday and Mercury is also very strong together with Mars and Moon in Virgo. This is a great day to go above and beyond to help others who need it.
Sept 12 - Ve to Swa, Mo to Sc, Mo/Ke conjunction, Mo in isolation and papa kartari for 3 days
Venus moves to Swati constellation and embraces the turbulence of Rahu’s servitude. This can bring sudden unexpected developments in relationships and new opportunities of connection. Swati is symbolised by a hurricane and is ruled by Rahu. She has a fiercely independent energy without rules or laws. Venus, the planet of relationships, energised by this constellation will seek connection beyond rules or law. It is an excellent time to clear out unneeded clutter that is blocking our lives being more comfortable. Libra is an air sign and Swati an air constellation so freedom of movement in what Venus rules in our lives is activated here. Rahu is a natural servant of Venus and here Venus commands the storm to effect positive outcomes especially for material comfort. This is an excellent combination for business connections and networking with others. Venus will find a way here, and if bending rules is needed he will do that to achieve his goals. This is a practical Venus, looking to help everyone that he can from his office.
Here the Moon enters Scorpio where he is fallen, so the energy of introspection and going within prevails. Moon will be conjunct Ketu towards the end of the day, which is not a great day for decisions as Ketu takes away the clarity of mind. Moon will go next to Sagittarius and find himself between Ketu and Saturn with no benefic aspect. These three days will be particularly emotionally challenging as Moon goes through Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter as Jupiter struggles under Saturn.
Sept 14 - Day of Dharma, multiple planets change constellation - Su to UPha, Mo to Moola, Me to Chi
With Sun, Moon and Mercury changing constellation it brings the majority of planets to the first quarter (pada) or the constellation they are visiting. This first pada is called Dharma pada where the planets function best when we align ourselves to our duty, purpose or nature. The Sun enters Uttaraphalguni where he brings the results of his journey through Leo, while Moon pushes us to go within and work on foundational levels within ourselves. Mercury takes the wisdom of Hasta constellation and brings it to Chitra constellation to be expressed. Mercury’s creativity is heightened and he is now in a prime position for business ideas to be launched.
Sept 15 - Ju to Cp
Jupiter is currently moving retrograde (backwards in relation to the stars from Earth’s perspective). On September 15th Jupiter returns to Capricorn where he reunites with Saturn in his sign of fall. Here Saturn is strongly limiting Jupiter’s natural ability to help everyone. Capricorn is also receiving aspect from Rahu in Taurus which adds to Jupiter’s challenges in this position. Jupiter will be struggling for most of the rest of this year and everything he rules in our lives will be subdued.
Sept 17 - Ekadasi, Mo/Sa conjunction, Su to Vi
This fortnight the Ekadasi fast is on September 17th. This day coincides with Moon and Saturn conjunction as well as this months Sankranti (Sun changing sign). Sankranti days are important gear changing days for the cosmos with a good 12 hours period where no important activities are to be undertaken. This will be an excellent day to take it easy, eat light and meditate.
Sept 20 - Full Moon in Aq
September 20th sees the Full Moon appear in Purva Bhadrapada constellation. This constellation is ruled by Jupiter and brings higher wisdom, spiritual knowledge and ability to see clearly the duality presented to us. It carries the energy of congregation, gathering and large group behaviour. The full moon here will shine a light of wisdom and purpose upon this aspect of humanity, giving everyone the opportunity to get together based upon a higher ideal that the collective can feel is valuable and important. The challenge at this time is that Jupiter is under the steady gaze of Saturn who is using his expansive nature to amplify issues and problems which everyone is having to deal with on all levels.
